How to sell

The complete guide, from opening a seller account to receiving your first payout.

1. Set up your seller account

Sign up with phone and email, pick a memorable store name (this becomes your public @handle), add a logo and a short bio.

2. Complete KYC

Verify your phone (Tier 0), then upload your NIDA (Tier 1) or business registration (Tier 2). Higher tiers unlock more active listings and higher payout ceilings — see Seller verification.

3. Create a great listing

  • Title: brand + model + key attributes (e.g. "Samsung Galaxy A54 128GB Black"). Avoid ALL CAPS and promotional emoji.
  • Category: pick the closest match as it drives who sees your listing.
  • Condition: New, Like new, Used, Refurbished, For parts.
  • Description: material facts first (size, capacity, defects), story second.

4. Photos that sell

  • At least 4 photos: front, back, close-up, and any flaw.
  • Natural light, plain background, no watermarks.
  • Include a size reference for small items (a coin, a hand).

5. Pricing & auctions

For Direct Sale: set a fixed price. Auctions: set a start price and (optionally) a hidden reserve. Auctions typically finish higher when demand is strong but require patience, and the listing runs for the full window even if a good offer appears early.

6. Shipping setup

Set a rate for each district you're willing to ship to, or offer free local pickup. Give a realistic handling time — the number of working days you need to hand the parcel to a courier. Details in Shipping guide.

7. When an order comes in

  1. You're notified in-app, by email, and by SMS.
  2. Prepare and pack the item.
  3. Ship, then tap Mark shipped on the order page, upload the courier ticket and set an estimated delivery date.
  4. Buyer confirms delivery or the 3-day window closes automatically.

8. Getting paid

On release, total order price minus 4.5% commission lands in your Mnadani wallet. Withdraw to mobile money or bank anytime. See Fees.

9. Growing your store

  • Reply to buyer messages within 24 hours as it lifts your ranking.
  • Keep your handling time honest, late dispatch hurts you more than a longer promise.
  • Ask happy buyers to leave a review from their order page.
  • Follow Seller guidelines and never touch prohibited items.
